The Universe and Dr.Einstein

I am reading a book "The Universe and Dr.Einstein" by Lincoln barnett (translated in tamil as "Prabhanjamum Dr. Einsteinum" ) and it is nice.

The author started with the earlier concepts in physics about matter, energy and explains how some of the classical theories changed after Einstein's entry into the world of physics.

One of the main explanation is about Einstein's "Unified field theory" and how he get into it. In his theory of relativity, he explained gravity in terms of space and time. Also in his famous equation E= mc2, he related mass and energy.

However in U.T, he related gravitational force and electromagnetic force which are totally different forces. He actually wanted to prove the uniqueness between them.

I would say this book will be a bridge for science and spirituality.

I think Einstein said it right,

"One thing I have learned in a long life: that all our science, measured against reality, is primitive and childlike -- and yet it is the most precious thing we have."

Words and Means

When I came across some articles or writings, I found some people are using complex words (may be for me) to express.

As I understood, Words are the means and after expressing the thoughts, their purpose are over. That's all..We won't cling to those words at all.

I am wondering why these people are using complex words to express themselves?

I love some author's writings (Like R.K.Narayan, Paulo Coelho) for their simple use of language itself. (though their writing is also good)

This is just a thought that came across to me today.

Role Model

Today I read this story from "The Vedanta Kesari, December 2005"..It is so nice.

The Story Of a Role Model

S YUVAMITRA

A certain king had a son. Although in his late teens, the son looked very small and bony. His spindling legs, sunk chest, thready muscles and a poor stamina to match, indicated that he needed help. The royal doctor suggested nutritious food and tonics to vitalise the young prince, but nothing worked. He still remained weak and under-developed. The king became very worried and wanted a solution. One day, as good luck would have it, a wandering monk came to the king's palace. He was given a warm welcome and was accommodated in the royal guest house. The monk, endowed with a keen power of observation, soon learnt of the king's worry and offered to help the young prince. He asked the king to send for the royal sculptor. When the sculptor arrived, the monk asked him to carve out a statue of a fully grown up, well-built man. He wanted a full-size statue with perfectly formed muscles and biceps, well expressed in it. The sculptor followed the instructions and made the statue ready in a short time. 'Look here, young man,' the monk addressed the young prince, 'you must keep this statue in your room and look at it as often as you can.' Thus saying, the monk went away. The young prince, having placed the statue in his room, would look at the statue everyday. When he got up in the morning, he looked at the statue. As he walked in and out of the room, he looked at the statue. While sitting, studying, eating, resting, all through the day, his eyes fell on the statue. 'Can I too have a well formed and beautiful body as this?' the prince asked himself one day. He had developed a desire to be what he admired. Soon, he learnt how to do physical exercises, how to lift weights, flex his muscles and follow other related rules of body building. Within a few months, the skinny, bony, young man was transformed into a strong, well formed muscular figure. The statue had transformed a weakling into a strong man, just a statue.
Every field of life, has a statue. A sportsman has his statue, his favourite idol. A cinema goer, a scient- ist, a teacher, a politician, an accountant, a driver, even a thief, everyone has his own statue. The point is not whether you have a statue, but what statue you have. Does your 'statue' make you a complete human being? Does it take care of all your needs? That is how one must select one's role model. Once a role model is selected, one can't help becoming that.

Swami Vivekananda said, 'Take up one idea. Make that idea your life--think of it, dream of it, live on that idea. Let the brain, muscles, nerves, every part of your body be full of that idea, and just leave every other idea alone. This is the way to success.' Right?

Mitrokhin archive

Last Week I've read an article in Ananda vikatan by Pa.Raghavan..In that he talked about "The Mitrokhin archive".. It was astonishing..
I dont know how far this is true But it was terrific to hear how KGB penetrated most of the places in the world.
They even supported/ sponsored the politicians in the elections??
It also explains who were in the game from India's part? :(

Atlast I got it after crushed in the crowd by 11 am.

19/11/05
Went along with the friends to the ground. Just after 10 mins getting down from the auto, somebody pickpocketed my ticket(Ofcourse, I kept my ticket in the shirt pocket)..After tracking for it in the counter which resulted in vain, I returned back to house to watch cricket live in action again in Doordarshan to see India Winning!!
Thats a nice lesson for me.

A Beautiful Children's day

It's one of the precious moment that i had in my life..Indeed I felt how comfortable life I am leading and how privileged we are in God's creation.

Today in our office, a people welfare organization named "F.A.M.E." came with their chidren to introduce them to us..These children performed in a unique way that no one can match it..

I saw some miracles like..

A hearing impaired girl danced..A mentally retarded boy played the keyboard and also danced beautifully..

Children sang a song in five languages!!!

They expressed themselves..I put lot of questions to myself and the answers are not to be given but to be acted..We've got a life to serve others..Thats what these people are doing..

I expressed my heartfelt wishes to them..May God guide them along the path with his lots of love and blessings..

Thanks God for giving me an opportunity to see your wonder.
